New Water Billing Payment Portal

The City of Athens is pleased to announce the launch of its new online water billing portal, which will go live on Monday, March 9, 2026.
The new system is designed to provide water customers with a more convenient and user-friendly way to manage their utility accounts. Beginning March 9, customers will be able to:
- View their current water bill and account information online
- Make secure payments using a debit or credit card through the online portal
- Make debit or credit card payments over the phone
Customers can access the new portal by visiting the City’s website at www.athensil.com and pressing the Pay My Bill Icon
For customers who prefer to pay by phone, payments can be made by calling 217-636-8429 and selecting option #1.
