City Wide Clean Up Date Set

The City of Athens has set the date for the City Wide Clean Up for September 15-19, 2025.
Any resident that has garbage service through the A-Team Disposal city contract is eligible for the City Wide Clean Up. Please have your large items on the curb in front of your house for pickup, they will not pick up items in alley's, it must be on the curb in front of your home. Please have any loose items bundled or put in a bag for easier pick up.
If putting out mattresses and couches, please note that they cannot pick up multiples on large items, such as mattresses and couches, recliners, etc. They will accept 1 mattress set (mattress and box spring), 1 couch, 1 recliner. If you are setting out any long items, such as a portable basketball hoop, the item will have to be cut into smaller piece to accept.
Below is a list of items that WILL NOT be accepted:
- Tires
- Yard Waste
- Liquids of any kind (paint, thinners, chemicals, etc)
- Batteries (Car, boat, motorcycle, etc.)
- Electronics
- Large Appliances (Dishwashers, Washers, Dryers, Refrigerators, Freezer, etc.) (They will accept microwaves)
- No Construction Debris
Any unaccepted items will be left in front of the residence and the homeowner will be responsible for disposing of the item.
Please note that we have not set route for pick up, and will not know what day they are coming to your residence, so it is suggested you set your items on the curb in front of your home on Sunday evening. Also please note that if they have already go through your area and your items were not out, they will not come back to pick them up.
